Chicago Bears Presented by Bank One?

Wednesday June 25, 2003
The Chicago Bears have been sold! No... not the team itself, but Bank One has paid for the right to add their name to one of the NFL's most storied franchises. For the next 12 years, the Bears wil be known as the Chicago Bears Presented by Bank One. Several sources indicate the deal is worth a little over $30 million.

As an added twist to the story, Pro Football Talk reports that the McCaskeys are positioning the franchise for a possible sale three years down the road, and this deal is all part of a plan to reap as much money as possible from the franchise before that point.

Whaddya think Bears Fans? Is it worth putting up with the name for the next dozen years to get the McCaskeys out of the front office?
