Dolphins' Defensive Depth Dealt a Blow

The depth along the Miami Dolphins defensive line was dealt a serious blow earlier this week when key backup David Bowens suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in an accident at home. According to ESPN, Bowens had just finished changing a light bulb when he twisted his knee jumping off the ladder he was using. He is expected to be out at least three months, possibly for the entire season.
The Dolphins have made a lot of good moves in the off-season to insure against another late-season collapse, and expect to be in the AFC East title race until the end, but this certainly was not the way they had hoped to enter training camp. Read more...
