Preseason Kicks Off!

Saturday August 2, 2003
The 2003 NFL preseason was kicked off Saturday by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets in Tokyo, Japan in the American Bowl. The Bucs got a strong performance from rookie quarterback Chris Simms, and won the game 30-14. The highlight for Japanese fans came in the final minutes of the game when New York quarterback Brooks Bollinger completed a 44-yard pass to Yoshinobu Imoto, one of two Japanese players that saw action.
