Wednesday August 20, 2003
A police spokesman told reporters Monday that Baltimore Ravens cornerback Chris McAlister was arrested and charged with driving under the influence early Monday morning in Virginia. Reports say he was pulled over for speeding and was charged with DUI at 2:36 a.m. Monday in Fairfax County, Va.. Jamison Hensley of The Baltimore Sun cites a source as saying McAlister refused to take a Breathalyzer test.
McAlister missed Monday's practice, but suited up for Tuesday's final workout at McDaniel College. He should be available for the Ravens game against the Washington Redskins on Saturday and is not expected to miss any action because of the arrest.
