Pennington Breaks, Dislocates Wrist

New York Jets quarterback Chad Pennington was knocked out of a preseason game with the Giants in the second quarter when he was tackled from behind by Brandon Short and landed awkwardly on his wrist Saturday night. Associated Press reports say X-rays taken at Giants Stadium confirmed Pennington dislocated and fractured his left wrist. He was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York for immediate surgery and will be out for at least 12 weeks.
