Seahawks Place Starting DT on Injured Reserve

According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, starting defensive tackle Chad Eaton was placed on injured reserve by the Seattle Seahawks and he will will miss the 2003 NFL season. The loss of Eaton is a huge blow to the Seahawks hopes of improving a rush defense that was last in the league last year. Eaton had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in May to remove bone chips and again this month to correct a problem that was causing swelling in the joint.
