Chiefs Give Holmes Extension

ESPN's John Clayton is reporting the Kansas City Chiefs and running back Priest Holmes have reached an agreement on a four-year contract extension that will boost his average salary to more than $5 million per year. He will also receive $10 million in signing and option bonuses.
The agreement ends speculation that Holmes might sit out the Chiefs' opener against the Chargers on Sunday.
