Vick Looking Toward a Mid-October Return

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Atlanta Falcons' injured quarterback Michael Vick will not be ready to go for the team's contest with the Minnesota Vikings on October 5th, as was previously reported by various sources. This doesn't mean Vick is not recovering properly, and all indications seem to indicate he is. He simply needs a little time to get in shape after his broken right fibula heals, which doctors say should be near the end of September.

Look for Vick to see his first action of the season in the Falcons' Oct. 13th game at St. Louis, or their Oct. 19th game against New Orleans.
