Owens Unhappy With Coaching Staff... Again
Tuesday September 23, 2003
There may be a new coach in San Francisco, but that hasn't quieted the criticism of wide receiver Terrell Owens. After the 49ers 13-12 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Owens had plenty of criticism to pass around.
"I don't know how many times we went in the red zone, and my number hasn't been called", Owens told The Contra Costa-Times. "I'm 6-(foot-)3, 6-4, for nothing. Tai Streets is 6-3, 6-4 ... we're tall for nothing. We have plays (designed for) the red zone for nothing. If our number's not called and the right play is not called, it's not going to happen. We have assistant coaches, they know the pressures that I'm under. If they don't realize the talent I have, then they're not doing their jobs."
Heck... if they don't realize the talent Owens possesses, they must not be listening to TO's post game interviews. After every loss, it seems the All-Pro receiver feels the need to remind us all just how good he really is.
