Billick Blasts Instant Replay
Sunday October 26, 2003
In his weekly post-game press conference, Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick ripped the NFL's instant replay process.
"I quit. I give up," he said after coming up short on two replay calls Sunday. "I've tried to be an advocate for instant replay. I've tried to do the company line. I've said the right things.
"Dump the whole (expletive) thing. We have spent so much money on this thing and it doesn't work. I've tried. League... I'm sorry. I've tried to hold the line. Dump it. Get rid of the whole damn thing because it doesn't work."
Billick also challenged two calls a week ago in a game against Cincinnati, and both calls went against him.
