Signs of Hope in Buffalo

Much of the success of the Buffalo Bills in 2004 depends on how well quarterback Drew Bledsoe bounces back from a dismal '03 season; much of which stemmed from an offensive line that surrendered sacks at a disturbing rate last year. With a rejuvenated Eric Moulds, a strong running game, and a healthy line, it appears the Bills are ready to rebound offensively, and if they can continue to play strong defense, they could jump back into the thick of things in the AFC East. However, if the offensive line once again fails to give Bledsoe the time to make his reads down the field, it won't matter how many weapons Bledsoe has around him.
Defensively, the Bills were ranked No. 2 in the league last year, and the nucleus of this squad is returning. Barring a huge letdown, this unit will keep Buffalo in a lot of games, but as was proved last year, they can't win the games by themselves. Andrew Miller takes a closer look...
