Cardinals Loss Overshadowed by Halftime Ceremony

Not many logical fans gave the Arizona Cardinals a chance at home against the World Champion New England Patriots on Sunday, and the end result was pretty much as expected. But even if the Cardinals had pulled off the monumental upset, halftime ceremonies honoring fallen veteran and former NFL player Pat Tillman served to reinforce how little importance this one football game had on the grand scheme of things.
Around the league, players displayed the No. 40, Tillman's former jersey number, on their helmets to honor the fallen hero. In Arizona, an upset victory would have been fitting for the former player who beat the odds himself, but the Cardinals were clearly outclassed by the Super Bowl champs.
