Williams Loses Appeal; Suspended One Year

Tuesday April 25, 2006
After coming back from a one-year, self-imposed hiatus, followed by a four-game suspension imposed by the league, enigmatic running back Ricky Williams participated in 12 games for the Miami Dolphins during the 2005 season. But on Tuesday, Williams lost the appeal of his latest violation of the league's substance abuse policy, and he's out the door for the entire 2006 season.

Williams ran for 743 yards and six touchdowns while backing up rookie tailback Ronnie Brown, the team's first-round pick in 2005, and his production will be missed. However, Brown should be ready to carry a heavier load this year, and the team could bring in a veteran to spell him. A more likely approach might be to look to the second day of the draft if they don't feel Travis Minor or Sammy Morris are the answer.

AWE Crap… this is not what i was hoping for.. bot only does this mess up my fantasy year.. but it could also have an impact on my fins. Had he passed.. he could have played for anyone. The reports are that he had lost conciderable weight and that even with the weight loss denver was still intertsted in him.
