Redskins' Taylor Agrees to Plea Deal

Facing a maximum sentence of 46 years in jail if convicted of the felony assault charges against him, Washington Redskins' safety Sean Taylor agreed Wednesday, according to the Washington Post, to a deal in which he will plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges in exchange for a guarantee that he will serve no jail time and the felony charges against him will be dropped. Taylor, the Redskins' No. 1 draft pick in 2004, will also visit 10 schools in the inner city, providing $1,000 to each school as part of the agreement.
Fantasy Impact: Although he's still facing a possible suspension by the league (probably one game), the fact that the deal guarantees Taylor won't serve any time in the slammer should be reassuring to those who are considering selecting him in their IDP league. With this legal issue apparently out of the way, Taylor has been added to About Football's fantasy football cheat sheets, and is listed as a top ten defensive back and one of the top 50 overall defenders.

It’s very hard for prisoners to accept a story like this.They are serving hard time and watch an athlete walk away with a slap on the wrist.It also does not help the integrity of the Redskins organization.
