Owens-less Eagles Ready to Start New Chapter

There are few teams happier to be moving on to a new season than the Philadelphia Eagles. 2005 was a disaster on and off the field. And the majority of that turmoil was supplied by the enigmatic Terrell Owens. But Owens is in Dallas this year (which means the they will be facing him twice this season), and the Eagles are hoping to regroup now that he's someone else's problem.

With the strength of the division this year, though, that's easier said than done. Unless someone steps up, the Eagles are lacking at wide receiver. They have some guys with potential, but no one as explosive as Owens. The good news is they are solid in the trenches with a good mix of veterans and youngsters on both sides of the ball. The Eagles aren't likely to get shoved around, but they may have a tough time matching the other offenses in the division. Read more...

I have to agree with the prediction - a 6-10 salary may be in the offing. The Eagles won’t score enough points to make the playoffs, if their defense plays well. And the NFC East is a nasty division this year.
