Law Lands with Chiefs
Regardless of how long the deal lasts, Law is a vast improvement for the Chiefs' secondary this year, and a much-needed shot in the arm for the defense as a whole. The move gives the team a nice veteran tandem at cornerback with Law and Patrick Surtain, and allows the team to move Lenny Walls, who was over his head as the No. 2 corner, to nickleback.
Law will be reunited with former Jets' head coach Herman Edwards, who was acquired earlier in the offseason. Law led the league in interceptions with ten last season while playing under Edwards in New York.
Fantasy Impact: Ty Law should have a solidifying effect on the team's secondary, but at this point, there's little fantasy impact involved. The Chiefs' defense shouldn't be regarded as anything better than mediocre and no special effort, if any at all, should be made to land them in your fantasy draft. Law is one of the league's better corners, but he's no miracle worker.
