False Alarm; Fantasy Owners Relax

This just in... Generalísimo Francisco Franco is still dead. And Kurt Warner is still the starting quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals.

Despite a report on Monday night from ESPN's Chris Mortenson that claimed rookie Matt Leinart would take over for the former league MVP, the team announced Tuesday they are sticking with the date they brought to the dance... for now.

So those of you who own Warner in your fantasy league were probably scrambling Monday Night to grab Leinart off waivers, assuming you didn't already have him handcuffed. And now it looks like a false alarm. However, it might not be a bad idea for Warner owners to pick Leinart up anyway. Another poor performance like the turd Kurt laid Sunday might be the end of the line for him in Arizona, because once Leinart is handed the keys to the offense, there's no turning back... unless, of course, the Cardinals want to destroy his confidence right off the bat.
