Notre Dame Pro Day on Tap

Sunday March 4, 2007
Sunday marks the first big Pro Day workout on the schedule since the NFL Combine, and it'll be the boys from Notre Dame displaying their wares. And no one has as much to gain or lose as quarterback Brady Quinn.

Quinn's stock has taken a tumble, and he needs a strong showing to reestablish himself as a top-five pick. Having played in a pro-style offense the last two years, he should be as prepared to play in the NFL as anyone. But there are concerns that he doesn't possess the upside of other prospects like LSU's JaMarcus Russell. And he had some of his worst performances in some of Notre Dame's biggest games.

Other first-day guys that will get a close look are offensive tackle Ryan Harris and defensive end Victor Abiamiri, both of whom should be picked up in the second round.

Some late-day/free agent types that will try to catch the eye of an NFL team include defensive tackle Derek Landri, wide receiver Rhema McKnight, offensive guards Bob Morton and Dan Santucci, safety Chinedum Ndukwe, cornerback Mike Richardson, and running back Darius Walker.
