Nike Puts Hold On Vick Line of Shoes

Friday July 20, 2007
If you've been anxiously awaiting the release of Nike's latest Michael Vick line of shoes -- the Air Zoom Vick V -- you're in for a big disappointment. According to AP reports Thursday, the shoe manufacturer has decided to suspend the release of the product for the time being, which in light of current circumstances, seems like the prudent thing to do.

Chance are this latest line bearing Vick's name will never see the light of day, so don't hold your breath waiting for Nike to lift the ban anytime soon despite the fact that the halt in the manufacturing process has to be costing them big dollars.

Although the company is saying little about the situation, it appears fairly obvious Vick is on his way out as a Nike spokesman. But take heart shoe lovers. This little scandal could open up a whole new opportunity with another more appropriate line of shoes.

Hush Puppies.

Just imagine a complete line of freshly-dug-up-dog-hide shoes. No self-respecting dog fighter would be caught electrocuting his pooch without them.

Love him or hate him, Michael Vick can really sell some shoes, er... well, he could sell some shoes, that is.

As an animal lover my heart aches for the poor dogs that were harmed by this man. If Nike sign’s up with Michael Vick I will never buy another shoes or any other product from nike. This is a cruel and horriable act and it must be stoped.

Iam a proud owner of 4 beautiful pitbulls. This piece of #*#* needs to go down! Maybe do to him what he did to those poor helpless dogs. I would be first in line to do the deed! And if NFL or any other sponser keeps him on, they are just a low life like him……I hope he burns in hell!!!!!!!!

(4) John and Jane says:

Michael Vick to us is the lowest of the low, he cared only for his savage greed.
He didn’t care about the NFL, Nike, his fans, his family, just money hungry. How could a normal human being do such barbaric and cruel things? He has no respect of any living thing! He should be put in a ring of killer animals and feel the pain those poor dogs felt. We
have not one shred of sympathy for him.
He already had more than most but it was
not enough!! He’ll get his….

Ahhh! Big Business in America is alive and Booming!!! Its all about market and profits. Considering the circumstances, his marketability is not all that great right now. Considering all the profit that they have invested they stand to lose alot of money. If this were really about what is morally unacceptable to them they would have already completely cut ties with him, like many of the other companies have done, which considering the circumstances, would be the right thing to do.

I can’t belive yall. Even IF he is guilty, he doesn’t deserve to go to hell for it, LOL. Yall are overdrawing this a bit. I agree that everyone should let him be. Wow, He made a mistake no worse than the ones we make on a day to day basis.

everyone makes mistakes….this kind of thing happens all the time but u only hear about it now because someone famous committed the crime. this is wat society has come to….its a shame….but its true. if he is guilty he will pay for his crime. but it doesnt mean he is a bad person.
