Pacman Back on Top, Sort Of

Tuesday September 11, 2007
Despite his off-field problems, it looks like suspended cornerback Pacman Jones is back on top of the sporting world. That is, if you consider professional wrestling a sport.

As of Sunday night's "No Surrender" pay-per-view event put on by TNA wrestling, Jones is one half of the promotion's tag team champions. And it wasn't easy. In fact, this just might be one of the greatest sports accomplishments of all time considering Jones agreement with the Tennessee Titans forbids him from performing any physical move which could result in injury.

All the strategy. The drama. The incredible acting. Man, some poor writer out there really had to work hard to make this possible.

In all seriousness, though, is TNA really so desperate for ratings that they would hire this man, let alone make him a champion? Even if he is a heel (bad guy, for those of you not versed in wrasslin' lingo) he's a disgrace to the organization. I realize the pro wrestling industry doesn't always have the highest standards, but who's next? O.J.?

This was a very stupid piece. Don’t you have anything else to write about?
