No Mean Machine for Vick
Despite reports that surfaced Sunday (based on comments made by Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank) indicating deposed quarterback Michael Vick is suiting up with other inmates at Leavenworth prison to play quarterback for the prison football team, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is now reporting that's not really the case.
No doubt images of Vick rifling a pass at the groin of a prison guard were running rampant through the minds of many of those who have had the pleasure of viewing either the original or the remake of the Longest Yard movie. But according to the report, Vick arrived too late to play in the official prison league, which, by the way, plays flag football only.
Apparently any quarterbacking Vick is doing behind bars is only during pick-up games in the yard when he isn't, you know, scrubbing pots and pans for 12 cents an hour.
