Over the weekend, the folks over at Deadspin noted that a photo posted on the blog of the Washington Redskins Chris Cooley exposed a little more of the tight end than most of us cared to see. Apparently, a page from his playbook revealing the "Tight End Test" for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints was posted to the site. Problem is, that photo also captured some male nudity. An apology was issued on Tuesday:
"All apologies from the website. We are very sorry that we showed a penis on our website all day yesterday. That was by no means our intention and we did not want to offend anyone. The picture wouldn't have been up for so long, but we were in the middle of winning a big game. Once again, this was a complete accident and we regret not reviewing the post more closely."
There's no explanation as to whose penis was shown in the picture. Applying logical thinking, however, one would have to wonder why another pantsless man would be holding Cooley's playbook. Also, having seen the uncropped version, it's hard to imagine that someone could have posted the photo without noticing Little Chrissy hanging out. But Whatever.
What's more important is the fact that Cooley posted a picture of his playbook on the internet. Something new head coach Jim Zorn addressed in the Washington Post Tuesday morning:
"My first thought is to just make a team-wide statement and talk about it," said Zorn. "It's not just Chris, anybody can do that, and we've just got to make sure that these guys are using [common sense].
"I think the rule of thumb that I'm going to have to contend with here is that if you have your own blog, and you're putting photos or you're even saying anything, that nothing really should be put in there that has Redskins playbook [on it]. That goes without saying. I think Chris used a little bit of poor discretion using that type of prop, if you will."
By prop, we're assuming Zorn is referring to the playbook and not a certain part of Cooley's anatomy.

This is ludicrous to have to apologize for. It’s like the idiot Ashcroft putting a shawl over a the statue of Justice’s breasts at the Dept of Justice: moral prudishness.
