Owens Booed at Texas Stadium

Monday December 15, 2008
If the reaction of the crowd at Texas Stadium Sunday night was any indication of the feelings of the Dallas Cowboys fan base, it appears a significant percentage of Cowboys fans have begun to turn on the controversial Terrell Owens... at least temporarily anyway. Not only was Owens greeted by boos from the home crowd when he was introduced before the game, as was reported by Al Michaels of NBC, he also was on the receiving end of the fans' wrath when he dropped a pass that hit him in the hands while he was wide open early in the first quarter.

Of course, the boos predictably turned to cheers when quarterback Tony Romo connected with Owens for 25 yards late in the first period. Football fans can be fickle that way. Regardless, the initial displeasure with the enigmatic wide receiver indicates many of the Cowboys' faithful are beginning to tire of Owens' antics.

The trio of Owens, Romo, and tight end Jason Witten, however, could be seen laughing it up on the sidelines during their win over the division-leading New York Giants, which just goes to show that winning cures a lot of ills.

I think the Cowboy fans booed T.O. because they had read some erroneous reports which would indicate he was saying “negative” things about at least two other fan favorites – Romo and Witten. I don’t think the fans have tired of T.O.

I WAS DISGUSTED THE FANS BOOED TERRELL OWENS.
DALLAS FANS HAVE ALWAYS HAD CLASS, AND THAT WAS NOT CLASSY AT ALL, IT WAS LIKE PHILADELPHIA FANS.
I LIKE TERRELL OWENS, I DONT CARE ABOUT THE ESPN, ED WERDER AND HIS GOSSIP CRAP, OR ANY OTHER REPORTER WHO IS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A NAME FOR HIMSELF. I JUST WANT TO WATCH THE COWBOYS PLAY. THEY WILL WORK EVERYTHING OUT.

TO wore out his welcome in San Francisco and Philadelpia, why not Dallas? Is there any reason to think he may have grown up? Might be time for him to go to Oakland.

Yeah well, in last night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, The whole team was Booed. But in particular, Tony “Loser” Romo. Can there be any doubt “Now”, as to why T.O. would Complain about this guy?

And yet, the fans and media will Baby and even Defend Romo, and complain about Owens?
