Familiar Foes Alive in AFC
The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers have seen a lot of each other this season. Because they are both in the AFC North, they faced off twice in 2008 with the Steelers narrowly winning both contests. NFC's Most Unlikely Advance
If you have no rooting interest in the rest of the remaining playoff field, how can the Arizona Cardinals not be your sentimental favorite? I mean, c'mon. This is a team that has made just five playoff appearances since Harry Truman was in the White House, and has never played in an NFC championship game. It's time their fan base enjoys some success, right? In your Bati @ Pitts write-up, you mention its tough to beat an opponent three times in one season. Actually, teams have completed the 3-sweep 11 out of the last 18 times the situation has occurred.
That is true Greg, and a good point. But wouldn’t you think teams that have beaten another twice during the regular season would fare better than just barely over .500 against those same teams the third time around?
