2009 NFL Draft Prospect Matthew Stafford

Greatness has been predicted for Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford since coming out of Highland Park High School (Dallas) in 2006. And it appears he is on track to potentially fulfill those expectations since he is considered by many to be one of the top talents in the 2009 NFL Draft. So we decided to make him the subject of our next pictorial profile.

Stafford is an attractive prospect because of the strength of his arm. He simply has a cannon, and that's something you just can't teach. He has struggled at times throughout his career with his accuracy and decision-making, but improved on both significantly during his junior season. He still needs to work on his footwork somewhat, though, as he tends to get "happy feet" from time to time.
