Football 101: The Toss Sweep and the Isolation Play

A while back, we offered a breakdown of the Toss Sweep out of the I-formation, a basic staple of most offenses. Today we offer an explaination of how adding a little deception and misdirection changes the play to the Counter Sweep, which can be equally effective when executed properly.

The various assignments in another very basic I-formation play, the Isolation Play, are also explained.
