He gained 1,193 yards with his new team - over two seasons.
Remember when Stephen Davis was signed by the Carolina Panthers as a free agent running back before the 2003 season? He gained 1,444 yards, made the Pro Bowl and finished third in MVP voting.
Then again, he limped through the next two seasons with injuries before being released.
Just shows to go you: Free agency can be boom or bust, especially with veteran running backs.
