Could Colin Kaepernick be any more "of the moment?"
If the San Francisco quarterback had led the 49ers to a Super Bowl win instead of a loss to Baltimore, he'd be king of the world right now. Instead, he's just, let's say, a prince or a king-in-waiting.
He's young, big and muscly and all tatted up. He runs the NFL's hot new offense, the read-option, to perfection.
Everywhere he goes in the offseason, he's big news. He went down to Atlanta to work out with some of his receivers at CES Performance, he worked with kids at a skills camp in Pacifica, CA, and made a surprise visit to the Boys and Girls Club in Reno. All made splashy headlines.
Of course, he was accompanied by a marketing and media mouthpiece for XAM Sports, Kaepernick's agency.
His future's so bright, he's gotta wear shades. Kap Shades. But, because his bursting onto the public sporting scene seems to be so sudden, the general public doesn't know a whole lot about him. He had a very interesting childhood. Check out this profile of Kaepernick here.
