Pacman Claims He Wasn't Involved in Shootings
Tuesday February 20, 2007
In response to reports that Tennessee cornerback Pacman Jones was being sought for questioning in a triple shooting that occurred early Monday morning, his attorney, Worrick Robinson, told the Nashville Tennessean his client had nothing to do with the incident. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"I asked him: 'Was anybody in your group involved in the shooting? And he said, "No,'' Robinson said. "I said, "Then why did you leave? He said, "When there's guns there's always someone else coming with a gun. That's what you do. You get out of there."There is no evidence at this time to suggest Jones had anything to do with the shootings, but once again, he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He may be an innocent bystander in this case, but his image won't escape further damage. The guy is a magnet for trouble, and at some point he needs to wise up and stop putting himself in places where trouble is often found. He told me, "Man, I am not a suspect and didn't have anything to do with this.''
