Denver Broncos 2003-04 Playoff Team

By James Alder, About.com

Regular Season Record:

10-6

All-Time Playoff Record: 16-13

Strengths:

The Broncos rank second in the league in rushing offense, and running back Clinton Portis is a threat to go all the way any time he gets his hands on the ball. Denver also has a balanced defense that ranks 4th in the league in yards allowed.

Weaknesses:

This team does not have a lot of weaknesses that really stand out, but their passing attack is ranked in the bottom third of the league. In reality, they probably have more of an average passing attack, but their success on the ground allows them to put the ball in the air less.

Overview:

This is a very well balanced team. They are strong on offense and defense, and they have the ability to take over a game with their rushing offense. The Broncos have been a bit inconsistent at times, but when Portis and the offensive line are on top of their game, there's not a team in the league they can't beat, however, they are going to have some tough assignments on the road if they hope to go deep into the playoffs.
