Strengths:

The Chiefs have one of the top running backs in the league in Priest Holmes, who rushed for 1420 yards and a league record 27 touchdowns. Behind one of the best offensive lines in the league and a solid passing attack, Kansas City produced the second-ranked offense in the NFL. They can strike quickly from any area on the field or they can chew up the clock with methodical drives.The Chiefs can also strike quickly on special teams. Dangerous return man Dante Hall scored seven touchdowns on kick and punt returns during the regular season.

Weaknesses:

Kansas City's defensive line has been getting manhandled lately, and they regularly miss assignments. Overall, the defensive unit finished the regular season ranked 29th on total defense, and just two teams were less effective at stopping the run. And the bad news is the pass defense is not a whole lot better.

Overview:

The front seven of the Chiefs defense has got to do a better job against the run. If they have to bring the safeties up in run support, teams like the Colts and Patriots will pick their secondary apart. On offense they will look to hang onto the ball and control the clock, keeping their vulnerable defense on the sidelines as long as possible.

The Chiefs have a ton of talent and could win it all if they can get just an average performance out of their defense.
