Best Offensive Player:
Pivotal Offensive Player:
Jamal Lewis is without a doubt the offensive MVP of this club, but the success of quarterback Anthony Wright could be the biggest key for the Ravens.
Best Defensive Player:
Pivotal Defensive Player:
The Ravens defense is at it's best when the rookie is creating plays. Continuing to create sacks and turnovers would be a huge boost for this team in the playoffs.
Strengths:
As we've grown use to over the past few years, the Ravens boast a strong defense led by middle linebacker Ray Lewis and cornerback Chris McAllister, and a ball-control offense led by the punishing running style of Jamal Lewis.
Weaknesses:
As we've also grown use to over the past few years, the Ravens have been inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball. Anthony Wright sparked a bit of an offensive explosion the first month he was on the field, but struggled somewhat in two of the team's final three regular season contests.
Overview:
This team will punish you on both sides of the ball and will force an opponent to prove they can stop the run. If Jamal Lewis gets on a roll, an opposing defense can spend a lot of time on the field. On the other side of the ball, they make it very difficult to sustain a drive.
The Ravens defense should keep them in their playoff match-up(s), but I'm not sure the offense can get the job done against a playoff quality defense.
