About Football Glossary - Faking a Roughing

Definition: An illegal act by a quarterback, kicker, or punter in which they fake being roughed by the opposition in the hopes of drawing a roughing penalty.
Examples: This foul is rarely called in the NFL, but when it is, it results in a 15-yard penalty against the offending team.
