QB RB FB WR TE OT OG C - DE DT ILB OLB S CB - K P
Picks: 1-8 | 9-16 | 17-24 | 25-32
25. Miami Dolphins - Larry English, OLB/DE Northern Illinois
With Joey Porter playing well this year, outside linebacker isn't a huge need. But he will be 32 in 2009, and Bill Parcells loves impact linebackers, so I wouldn't be surprised if he looks for one to build his defense around.
26. Baltimore Ravens - Kenny Britt**, WR Rutgers
Joe Flacco played very well for a rookie in 2008 and appears to have a bright future in the NFL. The Ravens, however, need to bring in a game changer, and Britt has the potential to be just that. Plus, Derrick Mason is 35-years old and other than Mark Clayton they don't really have a lot behind him.
27. Indianapolis Colts - Evander "Ziggy" Hood, DT Missouri
Team Needs: DT
WR
The Colts lack talent and depth at the defensive tackle position, and it wouldn't be surprising to see them use a couple picks on the position. Hood's stock seems to be on the rise, and he's the type of quick penetrating tackle the Colts like.
28. Buffalo Bills (from Carolina through Philadelphia Eagles) - William Beatty, Connecticut
After trading Jason Peters to the Eagles, the Bills have a huge hole on their offensive line. Langston Walker could be moved to left tackle, but that would only serve to weaken both tackle positions. Beatty may not be ready to start from day one at left tackle, but the Bills have kind of painted themselves into a corner and must do something to address the position early in the draft.
29. New York Giants - Brandon Pettigrew, TE Oklahoma State
The Giants don't have many holes to fill, so they can just sit back and wait to see if someone with the talent of a Pettigrew falls in their laps. Tight end isn't a huge need for New York. This is simply a matter of the best player available.
30. Tennessee Titans - Darrius Heyward-Bey*, WR Maryland
It looks like the Titans hit the jackpot with rookie running back Chris Johnson last year, but they could still use an impact player at wideout. Heyward-Bey displayed blazing speed at the NFL Scouting Combine and would add a new dimension to Tennessee's offense.
31. Arizona Cardinals - Michael Johnson, DE Georgia Tech
The Cardinals defense needs a dominant 3-4 rush outside linebacker to pair opposite Travis LaBoy. Johnson is overrated a bit because of his athletic ability, but would be a nice addition at the rush linebacker position.
32. Pittsburgh Steelers - Alex Mack, C California
Help on the offensive line is by far the team's biggest priority, and there are a number of directions they could go here. Mack is a versatile offensive lineman who could help out at more than just center if needed.
