Green Bay will take steps to find Favre's successor either prior to the draft or in later rounds, but will look to find Gilbert Brown's here.
26. Rams - CB Derrick Strait, Oklahama
It's apparent now that re-treading Jason Sehorn and Aeneas Williams is not going to be enough for the St. Louis secondary. Strait is a known commodity, and should prove, at the least, to be a satisfactory second corner.
27. Titans - C Jake Grove, Virginia Tech
With salary-cap moves pending, it appears that Justin Hartwig's future is at tackle. Luckily for Tennessee, this consensus All-American should be able to start immediately.
28. Chiefs - LB D.J. Williams, Miami (FL)
Kansas City is desperate for defense. Williams is a steal this low, the best available defender at this point.
29. Eagles - WR Michael Jenkins, Ohio State
With no DEs left worthy of a first-round investment, Philadelphia elects to bolster its receiving corps to avoid another NFC Championship collapse.
30. Colts - DT Darnell Dockett, Florida State
Dungy continues his overhaul of the Indy defense.
31. Panthers - TE Ben Troupe, Florida
Jake Delhomme's performance in the Super Bowl is rewarded with a target who should open up the play-action passing game.
32. Patriots - G Vernon Carey, Miami (FL)
Free agent Damien Woody can't seem to stay healthy, and with cap issues, New England may let him walk. Carey will provide depth and a future to the Pats' anonymous offensive line.
