Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup cocoa
2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
1 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
Melt butter in large sauce pan. Place cocoa in pan with butter and stir. Add sugar, vanilla, and eggs, mix well. Stir in flour and baking powder. Add nuts or chocolate chips if desired. Pour mixture into a greased 9 by 13 inch pan. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 25 - 30 minutes. Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted in the middle of the pan comes out clean. Do not overbake.
