• Raiders move into their new headquarters in Alameda on June 17th.
• On July 12th, the Raiders opened training camp in Napa.

1997
• Mike Haynes is inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
• Raiders name Joe Bugel head coach on January 15th.

1998
• Jon Gruden is named new head coach of the Raiders.

1999
• Former Raider Eric Dickerson is inducted in Hall of Fame.

2001
• Lost to the Baltimore Ravens, 16-3 in the AFC Championship game on January 14th.

2002
• Lost to the New England Patriots, 16-13, in the Divisional round of the AFC playoffs.
• Bill Callahan became the 13th head coach in Raiders history in March, after Jon Gruden was allowed to leave for Tampa Bay in exchange for a series of draft picks.

2003
• Lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 48-21, in Super Bowl XXXVII on January 26th.
