New England 38
Buffalo 7

Drew Bledsoe, playing his first game against the Patriots since he was traded to the Bills, was 28-of-45 for 302 yards with one interception. But Tom Brady, the man who took his job in New England, was the star of the game completing 23-of-27 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns. The win allowed the defending Super Bowl champions to snap their four-game losing streak.

Pittsburgh 23
Cleveland 20

Pittsburgh's defense had quarterback Tim Couch scrambling all afternoon and they also shut down the Cleveland running game, limiting the Browns to just 36 yards on the ground. The Steelers rallied from a 14-3 second-quarter deficit behind quarterback Tommy Maddox who finished 23-of-42 for 239 yards. Amos Zereoue, making his second start filling in for the injured Jerome Bettis, had a career-high 111 yards rushing.

Tennessee 23
Indianapolis 15

The Titans managed just 198 yards of total offense, but their defense came up big as Keith Bulluck returned a fumble 61 yards for one touchdown and Peter Sirmon's interception led to another. The win was Tennessee's third straight while the Colts have now dropped three in a row and into a tie with the Titans in the AFC South.

Philadelphia 19
Chicago 13

David Akers kicked four second-half field goals and the Eagles defense held Chicago to just 53 second-half yards as they held off the struggling Bears, 19-13. The Bears defense did a good job pressuring Donovan McNabb, but the Eagles were able to capitalize on great field position in the second half.

Dallas 7
Detroit 9

Jason Hanson kicked three field goals, including a 43-yarder with 48 seconds left that gave the Lions a 9-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Chad Hutchinson, in his second start for the Cowboys, was 22-of-39 for 208 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, but was sacked five times and lost two of his three fumbles.

Baltimore 17
Atlanta 20

Michael Vick struggled against the Ravens defense, completing only 12-of-24 passes for 136 yards. He was also sacked three times, had -5 yards rushing, fumbled twice and threw his first interception of the season. The Falcons also blew a 14-point second quarter lead, but Jay Feely kicked a 40-yard field goal with 2:02 left in the third quarter that proved to be the difference in the game.

Cincinnati 38
Houston 3

John Kitna threw four touchdown passes and Artrell Hawkins returned an interception 102 yards as the Bengals backed up their guarantee with a victory over the Houston Texans. The 35-point win was Cincinnati's biggest victory margin since it beat the Houston Oilers 61-7 on Dec. 17, 1989.

Minnesota 24
Tampa Bay 38

Brad Johnson threw for 313 yards and a career-high five touchdowns as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers moved the ball at will against a porous Vikings' defense. Keyshawn Johnson had a season-high nine receptions for 133 yards and two touchdowns as the Bucs racked up 446 yards of offense.

New York Jets 44
San Diego 13

Quarterback Chad Pennington, who completed 28-of-37 passes for 253 yards, threw for one touchdown and ran for another. Santana Moss had a 52-yard punt return for a touchdown and the Jets defense held LaDainian Tomlinson, the NFL's third-leading runner, to just 60 yards on 12 carries.

Washington 14
Seattle 3

Kenny Watson, filling in for the injured Stephen Davis, ran for 110 yards, and Shane Matthews had two touchdowns passes as the Redskins beat the struggling Seahawks 14-3. Koren Robinson had a career-high eight catches for 100 yards for Seattle.

San Francisco 23
Oakland 20

After missing a 27-yard field goal attempt on the last play of regulation, Jose Cortez redeemed himself by hitting a 23-yard field goal 8:41 into overtime to beat the Raiders 23-20. Terrell Owens had a huge day for the 49ers, catching 12 balls for 191 yards.

St. Louis 27
Arizona 14

Marshall Faulk rushed for 178 yards on 27 carries, including a game-clinching 13-yard touchdown run with less than two minutes to play. He also caught five passes for 58 yards. Marc Bulger, 3-0 as the Rams starting quarterback, completed 20-of-29 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns.
