1. Panthers - (via trade from Bengals) QB Byron Leftwich - I see Leftwich distingushing himself as the best QB during the combine and Senior Bowl games. Whether it's Palmer or Leftwhich they will most likely sit a year while Peete plays one more year.

2. Lions - Terrell Suggs or Jerome McDougle DE or Jimmy Kennedy DT - They could also get a corner here, too, but it would be too early. Or Charles Rogers, but I see Matt Millen favoring defense here.

3. Texans - Charles Rogers WR - Again, there are many holes on this team and they wont pick a lineman as Ryan Young and hopefully for them Tony Boselli will be healthy next year. I cant see Charley Casserley forgoing a talent like Rogers being paired with Carr.

4. Bears - Carson Palmer QB - This could go either way depending on which QB is taken first between Palmer and Leftwhich, but be assured that the Bears need a QB and will take one. Jim Miller and Chris Chandler would start for a year to let Palmer learn the offense, but he will start before that as both Miller and Chandler have a history of getting injured easily.

5. Dallas - Jerome McDougle DE - The Boys could also get Dewayne White or Antwaan Peek. All three would be a stretch at #5 but Parcells is a defensive oriented coach who knows it takes defense to win games and championships. He will get a QB via free agency or start Hutchinson. The OL should be better but both starting tackles are free agents. They wont keep both so Utah's Jordan Gross could go here also. Willis Mcgahee seemed like a lock here but he wont be in the draft most likely now that he is out a year at least tearing three ligaments in his knee. They could also take a corner like Newman or Trufant who would pose many problems with Ross, Woodson and Williams.

6. Arizona - This pick is up for grabs! The cards have many holes. They could take a QB(Chris Simms, Rex Grossman, Kyle Boller, Dave Ragone and if somehow Leftwhich or Palmer could go here as Jake Plummer is repordately on his way out) The could take any of the aformentioned DE's or a corner like Marcus Trufant, Terrence Newman or Dennis Weathersby.

7. Minnesota - Dewayne White DE - The Vikings desperatley need a pass rusher. They haven't had any good ones since John Randle or Chris Doleman. They could also take Jimmy Kennedy if he was still here. Him and Hovan would be great together. They could also take a corner in the three mentioned above or Andre Woolfork, or a safety in Doss or Polamalu. Minnesota also needs some other reciever opposite Randy Moss so they could take a WR like Andre Johnson, Rashaun Woods, Reggie Williams (if he comes out) Brandon Lloyd or even Taylor Jacobs. But many of these would be a reach except for Williams (as good as Rogers).

8. Jaguars - Its difficult to project this pick since they dont have a coach or GM. They might just take the best player available as they have many holes all over. They could take a WR, DE, LB, CB, SS,or OL. I see Andre Johnson WR going here to the Jags. Another weapon would only help this offense that really missed Keenan McCardell. He allowed Jimmy Smith to be really dangerous and his departure was part of the reason for Smith's drop off in production. Gross could also go here too but the Jags have some good young tackles now in Mike Pearson at LT and Maurice Williams at RT.
