Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Bargains

Fantasy Bargains You can still Pick Up

Whether you're looking to beef up your fantasy football team's depth or fill in for an early injury, About Football uncovers some potential fantasy bargains who could be sitting on your league's waiver wire.

Quarterback
Rex Grossman, CHI
The Bears are really attacking downfield, and Grossman has looked very sharp in the first two games. He's certainly worth a back-up slot, and could start in certain situations.

Vince Young, TEN
Kerry Collins looks horrible, so the offense could be turned over to Young sooner rather than later. He's probably not starting material at this time, but could look like a bargain down the road.

Running Back
Jerious Norwood, ATL
Here's a guy who is probably still available in most leagues. He's had some success in limited action so far. And with Warrick Dunn carrying such a heavy load, I could see him breaking down in the near future. For those of you with Dunn on your roster, he's certainly worth handcuffing.

DeAngelo Williams, CAR
Surprisingly, Williams is still available in a high percentage of fantasy leagues, but that probably won't last long. He outperformed DeShaun Foster in week two and has been getting the call in short-yardage situations. I wouldn't be surprised to see Williams carrying the bigger load very soon.

Wide Receiver
Jerricho Cotchery, NYJ
He appears to have wrestled the No. 2 job from Justin McCareins. And with Pennington looking to be in pre-injury form in his first appearance of the year, Cotchery could get a lot of looks. He seems to have developed a nice chemistry with Pennington, and is still available on many boards.

Bernard Berrian, CHI
Berrian has hauled in two long scores in two games and seems to have established himself as the Bears deep threat to complement veteran Muhsin Muhammad.

Tight End
Desmond Clark, CHI
Clark has been a big factor in the Bears first two contests, collecting 162 yards receiving along with one touchdown. The Bears figure to use the tight end a lot this season, so this could be your sleeper if you're hurting at the position.
