About Football's Featured 2005 NFL Mock Draft

Round 1: Picks 23-32

From Forum Moderator TheHeed

23. Seattle Seahawks - Channing Crowder, ILB/OLB Florida (6'3 - 245 - 4.6)
While Crowder has played MLB for the Gators, I believe he is athletic enough to play OLB also. Seattle needs an upgrade at OLB and ILB, and Crowder can bring that to the linebacking corp.

24. Green Bay Packers - Justin Tuck, DE/OLB Notre Dame (6'5 - 260 - 4.6)
Tuck is a pass rushing terror and an incredible back side pursuit DE. While the Packers already have a light DE with KGB, another sack specialist is a welcome addition.

25. Denver Broncos - Heath Miller, TE Virginia (6'5 - 260 - 4.7)
The Broncos misses Sharpe a lot. While Miller isn't exactly a great TE like Sharpe, he will be a nice addition to that offense.

26. New York Jets - Justin Miller, CB Clemson (5'11 - 200 - 4.4)
Miller is a good athlete and a playmaker in every sense and will be a nice addition over Barrett and Abraham. Miller is also good enough to dethrone moss at PR duties.

27. Atlanta Falcons - Adam Terry, OT Syracuse (6'9 - 325 - 5.2)
One of the tallest tackles to come out, Terry is a hard nose player who has one of the best techniques for a tackle. He is a work out warrior and a student of the game. Terry will be a nice upgrade over Kevin Shaffer.

28. San Diego Chargers - Roddy White, WR UAB (6'2 - 200 - 4.4)
White is a vertical stretching WR. He has good hands and finds the ball really well. While he does need to work on his routes, he will be a nice addition next to Keenan McCardell.

29. Indianapolis Colts - Shuan Cody, DT USC (6'4 - 295 - 4.8)
Fast and quick DT that Dungy covets. Plays the gap really well and always in the back field making plays. Dungy finally gets his wish for a penetrating DT.

30. Pittsburgh Steelers - Bryant McFadden, CB Florida State (6'0 - 185 - 4.5)
McFadden’s stock went up with his performance in Senior Bowl and has the scouts really looking at this kid. He will be an upgrade over Chad Scott.

31. Philadelphia Eagles - Kevin Burnett, OLB Tennessee (6'3 - 235 - 4.5)
A former safety, Burnett has good speed and quickness for the LB spot, along with good strength, instincts and a good pass rusher. Kevin will be an upgrade over Simoneau and possibly move back Dhani Jones to his more natural position at WILL LB.

32. New England Patriots - Elton Brown, OG Virginia (6'6 - 340 - 5.0)
One of the most athletic offensive linemen coming out. He is a great pulling guard and has good strength. Brown will be an upgrade over Steve Neal and Joe Andruzzi.
