25. Denver – Shaun Cody, DE USC
When they lost Hayward to the Jaguars in free agency, it created a void that they try to fill with Cody, who should be able to soften the blow of that loss a little.
26. NY Jets – Brandon Browner, CB Oregon State
The Jets try to add some youth to the cornerback position with Browner, who should be able to take the nickel spot from the start of the season in their cover two system.
27. Atlanta – Channing Crowder, LB Florida
With Brookings and Stewart set at the outside linebacker positions, the Falcons try to improve the inside with the top ILB in the draft.
28. San Diego – Jammal Brown, OT Oklahoma
With two big-money quarterbacks on the roster in the franchised Drew Brees and last year’s first round pick Philip Rivers, the Chargers take some protection for that investment.
29. Indianapolis - Anttaj Hawthorne, DT Wisconsin
Like the Chiefs, they need a lot of help on the defensive side of the ball, and Tony Dungy looks for his Indianapolis version of Warren Sapp.
30. Pittsburgh – Heath Miller, TE Virginia
With a strong defense and running game, plus Ward and Randle El at wide receiver, the Steelers look for a tight end to help Roethlisberger improve on his 2004 season.
31. Philadelphia – Roddy White, WR UAB
After seeing Terrell Owens catch more touchdowns than the rest of the Eagles wide receivers seem to have caught in the last half decade combined, Reid decides enough is enough and shakes things up some more at the position.
32. New England – Daryl Blackstock, OLB Virginia
The Pats linebackers are all getting up there in age, and Bruschi having a stroke could lead to Belichick implanting some youth in the group.
