Greatness has been predicted for Georgia QB Matthew Stafford since coming out of high school in 2006. And it appears he may be on track to possibly fulfill those expectations since he is considered by many to be one of the top talents this year.
Stafford is an attractive prospect because of his arm strength. He simply has a cannon, and that's something you just can't teach. He has struggled at times throughout his career with his accuracy and decision-making, but improved on both significantly during his junior season. He tends to not have great performances in big games and he still needs to work on his footwork somewhat. He tends to get "happy feet" from time to time.
Stafford is a good athlete with decent mobility. He has adequate size and is built solid enough to withstand the occasional beating most NFL quarterbacks endure. His solid leadership qualities are attractive as well.
