In 2003, the Indianapolis Colts roared through the regular season with a 12-4 record, which was good enough for a first-place tie with the Tennessee Titans. Quarterback Peyton Manning posted his best season to date, throwing again for more than 4,200 yards, tossing 29 touchdowns to just 10 interceptions, and posting a career best passer rating of 99.0.
Manning's performance was good enough to earn NFL Co-MVP honors, which he split with Titans quarterback Steve McNair. Manning was also given the Bert Bell Award, handed out annually to the professional player of the year.
