Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning had a bit of a down year in 2001 by his lofty standards, and it was reflected in the team's 6-10 record and absence from the playoffs. He did still manage to pass for more than 4,000 yards for the third time in his career, but his interception total (23) nearly approached the number of his touchdown passes (26).
Manning was hardly the problem with the Colts in '01, though, as the team's porous defense allowed more than 30 points per game.
