Michael Johnson Scouting Report:
Although he was just a one-year starter during his college career, he has all the physical tools to become a dominant pass rusher in the NFL, and should develop into an every-down player once he fills out his long, lean frame. He has excellent quickness and agility, along with excellent closing speed. He also has a long wingspan to help fight off blockers and knock down passes.
If there's been any knock on Johnson's game, though, it's his ability to hold up against the run. Once he bulks up a little and fills out his 6-foot-7, 260-pound frame, however, he should be able to hold his own. Johnson also has never really lived up to the hype that has surrounded him because of his athletic ability. He tends to disappear for stretches and his production as a pass rusher has been disappointing.
