Scouting Report:
Oklahoma State's Russell Okung is considered among the top (if not the best) prospects at offensive tackle in this year's NFL Draft class. He has the athleticism, agility, and mobility to be an elite pass blocker and left tackle in the NFL. He has the prototypical size and long arms desired at the position along with decent strength.
Okung has good initial quickness and a nice first step, but I'd stop short of saying he has elite foot speed. He could stand to work on his run blocking also. He doesn't deliver the most devastating punch off the line either, and tends to get too high too soon in his run blocks, losing leverage. He does do a good job, however, of getting to the second level in his run blocks and he's very difficult to get away from once he latches on to his opponent.
He is also a high-character guy with good durability who goes hard on every play. Look for him to be selected in the top five on draft day.
