2004-05 Playoff Team Profiles

Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have a quality defense, great special teams, and they run the ball very well. And oh yeah.... they have Michael Vick, the most dynamic player in the game.

Denver Broncos
A huge key for the Broncos in the playoffs will be the play of quarterback Jake Plummer. When he is on his game, the Broncos have a nicely balanced attack, and at times he can get into a groove and put up some great numbers.

Green Bay Packers
Brett Favre may be on the downside of his career and sharing the load with running back Ahman Green these days, but he is still the heart and soul of this team which features one of the more explosive attacks in the league.

Indianapolis Colts
Peyton Manning and the Colts passing game has been nearly unstoppable this year, with the All-Pro QB tossing a record 49 touchdown passes during the regular season.

Minnesota Vikings
No doubt about it, the strength of this Minnesota Vikings team is its explosive offense. Unfortunately that offense hasn't been clicking like it did earlier in the season

New England Patriots
The Patriots are the defending champs and I wouldn't expect them to go down without a fight, but covering for the current condition of their secondary could be too much to ask.

New York Jets
The New York offense features a strong rushing attack led by the ever-consistent Curtis Martin, which complements Chad Pennington's abilities very well.

Philadelphia Eagles
Although they lost Terrell Owens for most of the playoffs (possibly all), quarterback Donovan McNabb and running back Michael Westbrook have the talent to shoulder the load on offense.

Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have used the classic formula of football success this year. They run the ball extremely well behind a solid offensive line, and on defense they are the best team in the league at stopping the run.

San Diego Chargers
The Chargers feature a balanced attack on offense led by quarterback Drew Brees and running back LaDainian Tomlinson.

Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks were among the most inconsistent teams in the league this year. Can they pull it all together now?

St. Louis Rams
The Rams may no longer be "the greatest show on turf" as they were billed early in the decade, but their offense can still be very potent when quarterback Mark Bulger is on his game.
