Cleveland Browns 2008 NFL Draft

Draft Needs of the Cleveland Browns

From Andrew Wynne and James Alder, for About.com

Mar 11 2008

Outside Linebacker — A classic tweener who can rush the passer and cover backs out of the backfield is needed to pair opposite Kamerion Wimbley at outside linebacker to strengthen the defense. Willie McGinest is 36, and Antwan Peek is a backup.

Cornerback — A young corner to replace to traded away Leigh Bodden is needed.

Running Back — A young runner to groom behind and occasionally spell Jamaal Lewis would be ideal.

Defensive End — A young 3-4 defensive end is needed to learn behind Orpheus Roye.

Offensive Lineman — A young flexible offensive lineman to back up at both tackles and guards would be excellent insurance.

*Note: The Cleveland Browns do not have any first day draft choices due to previous trades.
