Chargers Draft Needs
Urgent: Drafting the understudy at nose tackle for Jamal Williams and a bookend offensive tackle for Marcus McNeil are urgent needs. Drafting an offensive tackle who can excel at both pass and run blocking would be a great boost to the Chargers' offensive line.
Strong: Drafting an outside linebacker in case Shawne Merriman signs elsewhere or does not heal properly is a strong need--especially since Jyles Tucker got injured leaving only Shaun Phillips and backups manning the two outside spots.
Moderate: Drafting another defensive end and another interior lineman would be helpful.
Nice to Have: Drafting best available players will help ensure depth in the future.
Wild Card: Will Merriman return and will he be healthy? Will running back Darren Sproles return. If not, how good of a backup will Jacob Hester be for LaDainian Tomlinson?
